Hey there ya'll.....
well its another trip with James and this time was to Sabah Hawks vs MalaysiaXI
i thought it was gonna be a rather simple match but seeing how it go and the campaign for this on FB and TV, a full house was on sight in Likas Stadium.
The evening started with me arranging sound system, carrying musical chairs for games and setting up the tables. Its for the staff gathering, i was suppose to be there but football was already planned a week earlier and i am not going to miss it. At least i played 30% part of making things happen right? but let me share some of the view i have every sunset at work..hehehe..this is at 1845hrs..the best would be at 1815-1830hrs..daily! unless it rains.
James planned to just buy the tickets in the evening but seeing the demands and pissed off fans when ticket booths was not opened as promised on Thursday, FB and YM was crazy like hell with complaints..so he got it in the afternoon.
PS: text my boss im leaving and she asked why la?...sorry boss..hidup bola makan nasi...
we left at 1930hrs to the stadium, as usual james with his craze for momento shots was on..and so we go on wasting 10 more minutes in his car snapping pictures..i was already sweating and dizzy after taking my supplements and wishing for fresh air. he was bragging with the tickets.
HTC again amazed me with good clear flash on shots which usually will look horrible when you upload it. hahahaha..anyways the pics here tell you how much the game meant for us.
there we go to...you get the picture..
well...it was a bad choice to leave late and the congestion is horrible!..parking lots were full and the other cars were moving sloooooowwwwwlyyy...i almost decided to walk and went ahead. huarrrghh..the game was already on at 2015hrs..we were 30mins late....not to mention the seats were full and standing is not an option for RM20 tickets in this kind of match.
we did manage to get seats and the view was awesome from the roof top. the game was great and home was basically having most of the ball. lets say 60/40 something like that. at 45mins the game was a draw and honestly sabah was doing all the attacking? the national team thump kelantan a big super league team 5-0..did not see much what happened in the 1st half so i cant elaborate much..
in the 2nd half sabah started briliantly with the visitor keep on relying on offside traps and losing on air most of the time. my main focus is at midfield. sabah is lacking here. i know for a fact sabah defenders are fast..so no worries there. the center backs we have are no nonsense type so we wont see any slip up soon. i was right. but midfield even though in other games shown power and good back tracking, lack of creativity and not really that adventurous in passes which caused the last 2 point of attack not supplied.
MalaysiaXI again making the same kind of assumption of any other teams in malaysia that they are the same.Coach Rajagopal was not doing his home work i think. The form of sabah midfield was great and compared too Malaysia..errr...6 times better which was good for Sabah and a wake up all for the national team. Our import players are giving their best and Zainizam Marjan was always a threat. the defence on the right flank of the Harimau Malaya were constantly punctured by overlapping runs and overhead passes. and after countless times, sabah scored the 1st goal of the night and the crowd explode in delight. ONLY for the ref to take it back and rule hand ball???come on he was half way across the field, his assistant did not raise up any flag which if he did, screw him too since he was also behind the defensive back side. BUT A HANDBALL??what??is this a fix game??..
After all that stupidity, the game went fluently well for sabah, and maybe because of the 11 changes made by Malaysia, all the chemistry was gone and there was no flare in the game. Midfield was horrible and attack was badly affected for Malaysia, it was good for sabah coach though when he only made 4 changes and remain the team movement like in a normal match. Sabah was fluent and energetic which was good to watch even without the imports they were strong. Then a lucky deflection from a long range shot went in and broke up the tie. Malaysia was leading 1-0, after that was all Sabah..we lost but to stupid ref and a bit of luck for Malaysia. went home sweaty since i was wearing my sweater to drain out and happy.
PS: All the girls were screaming when GK Khairul Fahmi (kelantan FC, Malaysia XI) came on, Safee Sali was as usual a blockbuster
